Saurav Satyal

Academic Lead

Saurav Satyal is an accomplished academic and industry professional with a diverse background in teaching, curriculum development, and business leadership. With a PhD in Sustainable Energy Management from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand, and a Master’s in International Business and Management from the University of Bedfordshire, UK, he brings a global perspective to education and research.

Currently serving as the Academic Lead at Embark College, Saurav oversees curriculum development, faculty management, and quality assurance while fostering collaboration with industry partners. 

Saurav’s teaching portfolio spans modules such as Organizational Behavior, Consumer Behavior, and Branding Strategy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His innovative approach integrates experiential learning, including case studies and management simulations, to prepare students for real-world challenges.

As a Senior Lecturer at Embark College, Saurav is committed to fostering academic excellence and inspiring students to excel in business and management.

Anuj Shrestha

Anuj Shrestha is a seasoned brand and marketing professional with 14 years of experience in crafting compelling brand narratives and driving business growth. With expertise in strategic planning, digital marketing, and consumer behavior, he has held diverse roles such as Global Marketing Manager, Creative Director, and Visiting Faculty. Anuj brings a rich blend of industry knowledge and academic insights to Embark College, where he is passionate about empowering students with practical skills and innovative thinking in the fields of communications and marketing. He holds a Master’s degree in Communications, specializing in Public Relations and Organizational Structure.

Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta 

Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta is a seasoned academic and financial expert with over 30 years of experience in banking, research, and education. He holds a Doctorate in “Stock Market Efficiency in Nepal” and an MBA from Tribhuvan University. Dr. Bhatta’s illustrious career at Nepal Rastra Bank, where he retired as an Executive Director, included leadership roles in departments like Bank Supervision, Public Debt Management, Financial Management, and Research.

Beyond his central banking expertise, Dr. Bhatta has been an influential contributor to national-level projects, such as developing Nepal’s capital market and public-private partnership frameworks. His consultancy work includes formulating medium-term debt strategies and advising on fiscal management for government institutions.

Dr. Bhatta’s teaching portfolio spans several prestigious colleges, where he lectures on topics like Financial Derivatives, Investment Management, and Corporate Restructuring. As a resource person, he has facilitated numerous training programs on research methodology, bank supervision, and financial management.

An accomplished researcher, Dr. Bhatta has published articles on stock market dynamics, public debt thresholds, and macroeconomic indicators in reputed journals. His extensive training in financial stability, monetary policy, and economic forecasting from international institutions underscores his expertise in financial systems and central banking.

Frederic Vassort

Frederic Vassort is a seasoned corporate professional with over 30 years of leadership at the senior level with top-rated international companies in multiple countries with a strong focus on the power industry. An MSc Engineering (ESME, France) and INSEAD MBA (France and Singapore) graduate, Frederic Vassort began as an entrepreneur 12 years ago by investing in a leading high-tech start-up in Belgium which he turned into a global leader in its industry.

Frederic Vassort is now a Board member in several start-ups/scale-ups in the tech sector, which he helps grow. Having conducted a very international entrepreneurial and corporate career in over 12 countries, Frederic Vassort now lives in Nepal where he is involved in several academic and incubator projects to help young Nepalis create their own growth opportunities. Frederic Vassort also speaks in international conferences on energy and entrepreneurship topics, along with giving lectures in several European institutions.

He wanted to follow his passion for cars and began to be a distributor for Mahindra Vehicles after establishing his company, so he established Agni Group. With his business knowledge and expert leadership, he expanded his business to 65 locations and has worked in the automobile sector. He is a family man who balances his professional and personal life. He attributes his success to all the hard work and dedication he displayed initially and after being an established business. He thinks he should do something for the environment, like helping with environmental sustainability, and he has been involved in diversifying into EVs.

Born in 1979 and educated at Regent’s College Central London with a degree in International Business, he has transformed his family’s steel business into one of Nepal’s largest steel manufacturers, employing over 10,000 people.
With more than 15 years of experience in Manufacturing, Service, and Trade industries, Mr. Agrawal holds several prestigious positions, including Chairman of the Bank, Finance & Insurance Committee at FNCCI and Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Nepal. He currently serves as Chapter Chair for Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
